Asheesh Dewan is the owner and founder of the cutting-edge contemporary Indian restaurant chain Jaipur. Mr Dewan began his business in 1998 with Jaipur on South Great Georges Street in Dublin and has since expanded his business to include restaurants in Dalkey, Malahide, Greystones and Ongar, County Dublin. He recently opened a new restaurant Ananda in Dundrum Town Centre. Dewan trained as a chef in India and adapted his menu to suit Irish culinary tastes.

Yemi Ojo, Integrating African Children Ireland (IACI)
Founded in 2003 by Yemi Ojo, Integrating African Children Ireland’s main mission is to celebrate diversity in a positive way and to help African children to integrate within Irish society. As a non-governmental organisation, AICI focuses on children and young people between 4-21 years. The organisation challenges stereotypes and places emphasis on positive images of African children. AICI has 500 members with 20 volunteers. Yemi, from Nigeria, strongly believes in the importance of showcasing the different cultures within Irish society.

Maria Angolo – originally from Namibia, established Life Line Nursing Agency Ltd in 1998. The agency trains, recruits and employs nurses to provide nursing care for hospitals and for private nursing homes. The ultimate goal of the agency is to offer quality performance and reliability to all their clients. Life Line recently expanded to offer courses, induction and work experience for care assistants. Life Line Nursing now employs 7 staff and approximately 400 nurses and care assistants working in various health sectors.

Marco Giannantonio and Maurizio Mastrangelo, own Flavour of Italy, a multifaceted business they established in Dublin and Italy in 2005. The business owns the Italian School of Cooking based in Dublin 12, which offers courses on how to cook quality Italian gourmet. Tourists from Ireland can have the opportunity to experience Italian culture first hand through the company’s tourism and travel service. They recently opened a wine bar, Pinocchio, in Ranelagh.

Lord Diljit Rana, a resident of Belfast since 1966 and Founder and Chairman of Andras House Limited. Lord Rana is widely recognised as having started the ‘golden mile’, bringing night life back to Belfast. Andras House Limited is the largest hotel group in Northern Ireland. In 2004 Lord Rana was appointed the Honorary Indian Consul in Northern Ireland and has led several trade missions on behalf of Invest NI including India, China Poland and Estonia.
